BASIC PURPOSE

IES are looking for a talented Senior Finance Accountant to take responsibility of the day to day running of the department, working with the team and reporting to the Financial Controller.

Including maintaining financial records, for Purchase Ledger, Job Accounting, Sales Ledger, Time Reporting, Credit Card & Expenses, Financial Administration, Stock Accounting, Payroll, VAT and Nominal Ledger. The Job Holder will be responsible for prioritising their time across all areas and seeking support, when necessary, from other team members.

To maintain all key areas, accurately process transaction data and ensuring that reporting deadlines are met at all times. The role requires the job holder to develop and maintain contact with people throughout the company in order to contribute towards the efficient running of the function.

Working in a busy small team environment the job holder is responsible for organising cover of workload during any period of leave avoiding disrupting, or delay of, month end reporting.

• Treasury Accounting

• VAT Accounting

• Nominal Accounting

• Intercompany Accounting

• Job Accounting

• Stock Accounting

• Payroll Support

• Manual Expenses

• Analysis work

• Transitioning Manual Expenses to Concur (including supporting the team with current implementation work)

• Support Team on any other duties as and when required, purchase ledger, credit control etc.

• Support Finance Controller with duties as and when required

• Take responsibility of the day to day running of the dept. supported by Financial Controller and task coordinator

• Responsibility will not include Management & Statutory Reporting or Line Management, all other daily aspects of running will be included
• May be required to complete other business activities on behalf of the company from time to time in line with identified skills, competencies and experience

• AAT Qualified or equivalent

REMUNERATION & BENEFITS

Salary / Rate £35,000 – £40,000 Depending on experience

Basic Hours Monday to Friday 09:00 – 17:00, 30 Minute lunch break, Total 37.5 hours per week
